"Are you a glass half-empty or glass half-full person?"
Of late, I have begun to wonder about this question that is just about as old as time.
What is it about us, that we feel the need to see half a glass of water has either half-empty or half-full? Half a glass of water is...half a glass of water! It is both half-empty and half-full.
And being the key word.
What a false dilemma, and what struggles we face when we divide the world and our being into ' this or that', trying to fit ourselves and our perspectives into categories narrower than the full potentials of our mind and our experiences.
Yes, we can be both half-empty and half-full. We can be wildly optimistic and we can be greatly pessimistic. Now, what would it be like if we embraced the totality of us?
