Over years of practice, I have come to develop a keen understanding and appreciation of working with anxiety. I see it all the time, everywhere, manifesting in different shapes and forms.  I see people fight it, avoid it, suppress it, and ...it just doesn't go away! But when we really look at it and work with it with sincerity and courage,  something starts to shift.  Anxiety isn't always a 'blocker', it can be a call to living more deeply and authentically. 

Understand your anxiety instead of fighting it

Anxiety isn't a 'thing' that you have or don't have.  It is a response and a state of being that can be understood and grasped so it no longer holds you back.  Yes, it is possible to live a full life while anxious.  In fact, anxiety is an integral part of a life worth living.

Anxiety can be your gateway to growth and maturity

Avoiding your anxieties may give you temporary relief and comfort. But sometimes, facing and being curious about your anxieties can lead you to important experiences that expand and enrich your life.  In other words, you may 'level-up' when you face your anxieties with courage.

Anxiety doesn't have to get in the way of your relationships.

Many times, our anxieties are about our relationships - be it intimate, familial, or with people at work.  Taking a deep dive into your relationship dynamics and understanding what your anxieties are really about can help you to navigate the waters with confidence.

The fee is CAD 180 for a 50 minute session.  There is no HST charge as Psychotherapy is HST- exempt. At present. only psychotherapy performed by psychiatrists and family physicians are covered by OHIP.

What are your cancellation policies?

I offer both short ( 6-12 sessions) and long-term ongoing work. ​

 

We will discuss this at the beginning and periodically throughout our work together to determine a frequency that works for you. Short-term focused work can be effective if we set our objectives and expectations clearly.  Longer-term work allows for broader and deeper exploration and for us to work together with new changes and issues that you encounter.

No-shows and late cancellations of less than 24 hours notice will incur a charge of the full session fee.  Exceptions apply (.e.g medical emergencies)
