A warm welcome. I invite you to bring your struggles, the messy parts of yourself, your self-doubts, and certainly your hopes and dreams to our collaborative space. Together, we will explore and shine light on the challenges that you face, and discover wisdom amidst the sorrow, anxiety, anger, and laughter.
My approach is supportive and challenging, emphatic and direct. I am committed to getting a deeper understanding of you, what's important to you, and how you want to live your life.
You may find the 'aha' moments in our sessions to permeate your life, shifting the ways you see and engage with the world.
I'm Tilda, a therapist based in Toronto, Canada. A fellow voyager in life, I'd be honoured to facilitate your journey with empathy, compassion, creativity, and introspection. I welcome people of all identities.
I have worked clinically with diverse populations and settings- including acute and outpatient mental health units in the UK, community settings in Singapore, and in private practice in Toronto. In addition to clinical work, I also enjoy facilitating creative therapeutic workshops.
I qualified with a Masters in Dance Movement Psychotherapy (UK) and am a Doctoral student in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling (UK). What this means is that I enjoy working on and off the couch, facilitating exploration with both movement and dialogue. When words are not enough, movement helps us to access thoughts and feelings that cannot be described. I am informed by existential, psychodynamic, and third-wave CBT theories. Prior to the world of therapy, my initial education and work experiences were in the field of commerce. I am familiar with taking leaps of faith and the struggles of transition.
